Hanne Mi's Ceramic Art studio
My name is Hanne Mi, I am an Norwegian Ceramic Designer and Artist and I create all my works in Vassilikos, the southern area of Zakynthos Island,Vassilikos.
During my artistic career I learnt a lot about different disciplines and now in my shop and studio, opened since 1990, I show you the most special ceramic art pieces all carefully designed, made and fired day by day.
All my works are inspired from the island's natural surroundings, colors, local mysteries and myths. In my studio you can find sculptures small and large scale, vases, jugs, mugs, plates, goblets, fountains, Flowerpots, sculptures, wall plaque, tiles and many other objects all realized in stoneware clay.
All the material I use like high-fired (1260°) clay and colors are suitable for every day use objects (plates, cups, bowls…) and so all my works are certified for using in contact with food. That means that there is no Cadmium and Lead used in any of my glazes. |
